Exhibition "Mad World" - Dina Bova

Updated: Apr 26, 2023

We are happy and excited to open our own art gallery.

On January 21, 2023 we've opened our first exhibition "Mad World" by an unusual photo-artist Dina Bova. We were delighted to see so many art lovers, who came to see the exhibition, meet the artist and hear her interesting stories about the artworks.

The exhibition can be visited every day by appointment until 29th of April.

You can schedule your visit by phone 052-5092193 - Gadi

Here's what Dina told about the exhibition:

"I've named this exhibition "Mad World".

There is a phrase that I really like - If you feel that the world around you has gone crazy - everything is fine with you. If you feel that everything is normal or even great, you are absolutely insane.

I feel like the world has gone crazy.

World pandemic. War in Ukraine. Collective madness. Intolerable cruelty and indifference. People are thrown from one extreme to another. They either believe everything or they believe nothing. The world has polarized and there are no longer gray areas.

What is my new exhibition about?

As always, it's about everything that worries me.

About war. About terrible premonitions that have come true.

About totalerance and totalitarianism.

About good and evil. About physical and emotional abuse.

About naivete. About naked kings and naive thinkers.

About personal loneliness and collective madness.

About the callousness of ones and the compassion of others."

Dina Bova is an avant-garde artist, seeking new ways in art photography.

Truthful fiction is the basis of her creative style. Fiction may not reflect the reality as we know it, yet conveys a deep, accurate an

d true message, as well said: "Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures"...

Dina draws her inspiration from sources such as Renaissance paintings, allegories and. She uses allegories to express her understanding of the world and talk about what's important to her, seriously, yet with some irony and smile.

Over 100 of her artworks were awarded in international photography competitions with over 400 prizes in 26 countries. She won a Grand-Prix in “Nikon International Photo Contest 2013” - out of 100000 entries, 23000 photographers from 153 countries. She is the first and the only Israeli photographer to win such prize through the whole history of the competition since 1969.

The exhibition presents artworks by Dina Bova in combination with the music of virtuoso pianist and composer Gleb Kolyadin.

Each picture is accompanied by QR code with a link to a musical piece that corresponds to the mood of the picture.
